Join Droste’s Associate Board and Associate Circle

Associate Board:

The Associate Board has up to 25 members. Members will be appointed to one or more of the following committees:

  • Executive Committee: the Executive Committee consists of a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 16 elected members and is responsible for leading the activities and direction of the Associate Board and the Associate Circle.

  • Events & Fundraising: the Events and Fundraising Committee will plan and execute events hosted by the Associate Board and serve as the Associate Board liaison for Droste events. The Events and Fundraising Committee may have subcommittees from time to time to help prepare events. Subcommittee members shall not be required to be on the Associate Board but shall be required to be on the Associate Circle.

  • Communication: the Communications Committee is responsible for the management and coordination of both internal and external communications and promotions related to the activities of the Associate Board and Associate Circle.

  • Engagement & Impact: the Engagement and Impact Committee will energize the Associate Circle by recruiting and onboarding new members. The Engagement and Impact Committee will manage the member database, coordinate program visits, and improve member experience. The DEI lead shall serve as an Officer within the Engagement and Impact Committee.

  • Alumni: the Alumni Committee will create a vibrant Droste Alumni network by contacting, engaging, and supporting all Droste Alumni by offering events, programs, and services to create opportunities for members and to develop relationships with the entire Droste community. The Alumni Committee will also create a bridge between Alumni and the Associate Board

The Associate Board brings together a smart, diverse and enthusiastic group of young people to broaden their professional and social circles while helping to strengthen and build upon Droste’s mental health service programs. Members can choose to apply to be an Associate Board committee member or opt to join the Associate Circle based on desired commitment. Please see the different requirements for each category below.

Associate Board Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Be between the ages of 21 and 40 years of age

  • Serve for at least six months on the Associate Circle, unless waived

  • Demonstrate an interest in and commitment to Droste’s mission of providing affordable and accessible mental health care

Give/Get*:

  • Executive Committee: $1,000, $325 of which are dues provided at the time of their appointment or re-appointment

  • Associate Board: $500, $150 of which are dues provided at the time of their appointment or re-appointment

Participation and Attendance:

  • Prior participation and good standing as an Associate Circle member for 6 months unless waived

  • 75%+ of all meetings on a monthly basis

  • Participation on specific Committees with a specific officer or deputy officer role

Time Commitment:

  • Executive Committee: 10+ hrs/month

  • Other board members: 5-8 hrs/month

The Associate Circle:

The Associate Circle is a great choice for people who are excited about being a part of Droste but with a lower required time and financial commitment. Members are expected to attend quarterly meetings and social events and can choose to participate in specific initiatives and requests from Staff and committees as desired.

Associate Circle Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Be between the ages of 21 and 40

  • Demonstrate an interest in Droste’s mission of providing affordable and accessible mental health care

Give/Get*:

  • $325, $200 of which are dues provided at the time of joining the Associate Circle and annually thereafter

Participation and Attendance:

  • Attend quarterly meetings and social events

  • Visit a program at least once a year

  • Follow through on specific initiatives and request from Staff and committees as needed

Time Commitment:

  • As desired

*Give/Get refers to the total amount donated to Droste by you, or by your network, including friends, coworkers, company match, etc. The give/get also includes in-kind donations and the purchase of tickets to Droste events. There is a minimum Give amount due at the time of appointment to either the Associate Board or Associate Circle.
